Terms of Service
Last updated: July 13, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bedrock land-use intelligence service at bedrockportal.com (the "Service"), operated by Bedrock Intelligence ("Bedrock," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Bedrock monitors public California municipal records (city council, planning commission, and county board agendas and staff reports) and surfaces land-use matters — rezonings, entitlements, subdivisions, use permits, and similar filings — with plain-language summaries. The Service is an informational tool. It is not legal, financial, investment, or professional advice, and it is not a substitute for reviewing official government records or consulting a qualified professional.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 and use the Service for legitimate business purposes.
3. Subscriptions, Free Trial & Billing
- Paid plans are offered as monthly subscriptions with a 14-day free trial that requires no credit card. To continue after the trial, add a payment method under “Manage subscription”; if you don’t, your access simply ends — you are never charged without adding a card first.
- Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Prices are shown at checkout (currently Starter $99, Pro $259, Firm $599 per month) and may change on renewal with notice.
- Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full card details.
- You can cancel anytime; see our Refunds & Cancellation Policy.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to resell, scrape, redistribute, or bulk-export the Service's data except as expressly permitted by your plan; not to reverse-engineer or disrupt the Service; and not to use it unlawfully.
5. Intellectual Property
Underlying government records are public. Bedrock's compilation, summaries, scoring, software, and branding are our property and are licensed to you, not sold, for the duration of your subscription.
6. Data Accuracy — No Warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." Municipal data can be incomplete, delayed, or changed by the source. We do not warrant that the information is accurate, complete, or current, and you are responsible for verifying any matter against the official record before acting on it.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bedrock is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for decisions made in reliance on the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Bedrock Intelligence is based in Salinas, California, USA.
